Calibre Zenith 2542 PC Certified Chronometer - Circa 1965

Here is a watch you don’t see every day. This square-shaped Zenith, commonly known as the Respirator, was a classic timepiece of the brand in the mid-1960’s. Ours can be called “Pre-Respirator” due to the absence of this mention on the dial.

Yet the watch we present here is extremely rare. Indeed, you can admire the mention “Chronometer” at six o’clock, which is hardly ever seen. A mention linked to the Zenith 2542 PC caliber certified chronometer which offers hours, minutes, seconds and date at 4:30.

Over time the dial has taken on beautiful patina and features numeral hour markers at 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock with an interesting typeface that whisks us back to the period of the watch.
