In May 1956, a Swiss expedition reached the summit of Everest equipped with an ENICAR. True success that the brand will enjoy until the 1980’s since it would create its most famous collection: the Enicar SHERPA. Enicar was actually popularized in the 1960’s thanks to motorsports and its chronograph: the SHERPA GRAPH, 1st chronograph with a 24-hour hand (second time zone).
The brand would further develop its Sherpa collection with a two-crown Supercompressor model: the Sherpa GUIDE. The model presented here is the “MARK II GUIDE 33” reference: “T <25 mc” dial, tritium markers, steel Baton hands, orange-tipped 24 hour hand, “SeaPearl” 146/001 case back, R 1146 movement with 33 jewels, and of course the “Worldtime” bezel. The uniqueness of this model lies in the bezel’s condition: it is in a very good one while, unfortunately, many others are damaged.
