OMEGA SEAMASTER DE VILLE AUTOMATIC

“They were born in 1960 within the Seamaster family, where the development of a monobloc case (hence without a removable back and which can only be opened by the bezel) with a bevelled side made it possible to create a model combining the robustness of a waterproof watch with the finesse of a dress watch. At the beginning, in October 1960, the expression ‘De Ville’ only existed on paper, in advertisements and catalogs, to distinguish these monobloc models from other Seamasters, still identified as ‘Seamaster’ on their dial.”
This is a citation from the Omega “Bible” by Marco Richon.
