LONGINES Military Type EFCo
Longines 12.68N - Circa 1940
Sold
You are probably wondering what the letters EFCo stand for. Nothing could be simpler. They refer to Ernest Francillon & Compagnie. If you open the caseback, you will be able to contemplate these letters above the winged hourglass logo. This logo is not found on all models and it generally corresponds to a specific period.
This timepiece has the face of a military watch. It is very easy to read, displays relatively large and luminescent numbers (for the period), a simple timer with hour markers numbered every 5 minutes, overswept by beautiful blued hands. The dial opening is quite large due to the absence of a bezel and the case sits very nicely at the wrist thanks to its fairly long lugs.
