What luck! In addition to discovering this beautiful timepiece, it’s in new condition.
The NOS, or “new old stock” condition means that the watch was found in an old stock of vintage timepieces. For example a watchmaker who closes shop with stock on hand, or a watchmaking business which sells a part of its stock. Such watches were therefore never worn.
The beauty of NOS is almost poetic. It’s as if time has stood still between the moment this 1960’s LIP was produced and when it finally met its owner, some 60 years later.
