Jim Clark and his Gallet MultiChron, Jo Siffert or Jochen Rindt and their Heuer Autavia, the Yema Rally (or Lejour when released in the U.S.) is undeniably connected to the car racing driver Mario Andretti.
Indeed, when Mario Andretti won his historic victory at Indianapolis in 1969, many pictures show him with a Rally watch at the wrist.
For many years, the burning question on the minds of collectors was the brandname of his Rallygraf. The name of the American importer, Lejour?
Or the name of the French brand, Yema? The veil was recently lifted. As a matter of fact, the chronograph was released under many names at the time. Mario Andretti’s version, of which he is still in possession, is a “Wesley’s Rally.”
Whether it’s Yema, Lejour, or something else, the Rallye Chronograph is undeniably an iconic model that will delight both collectors and car enthusiasts.
