Breitling Navitimer 806

Ref. 806 - Venus 178 - Circa 1960

Sold

The Breitling Navitimer, contraction of “Navigation Timer”, was inspired by the Chronomat of the 1940’s. Released in 1952, this model was presented simultaneously as a watch, a chronograph, and a slide rule for aviators.

Hence the “806” allowed to make calculations quickly in the field of aeronautics at a time when the GPS didn’t exist. Anticipating fuel autonomy for example.

The model presented here is in very good condition. The dial is flawless and the case still has its “facets.” Here’s a timeless classic for pilots and aviation enthusiasts!
