PRETTY LITTLE DETAILS
What could be better than to come across a timepiece in the condition as it was sold? It’s the case with this gold and steel Omega Constellation Pie Pan, complete with its original box and papers that mention its movement number.
The piece has everything we like: the dial, clearly, its twelve-sided shape, its “dog leg” lugs, and as with our model, a dial, hour markers and hands in very good condition.
A watch that we will no longer often see in this type of configuration! It’s almost as if you were the one leaving that Mexican distributor’s shop in May 1967…
“Gold Cap” is a technique formerly used by Rolex and Omega (among others) that defines a very thick plating, between 200 and 240 gold microns (14k and 18k). This is around 10 to 20 times more than a classic plating method.
