Jaeger-LeCoultre “Explorer Dial”
N°7388775 - P478/C - Circa 1960
Jaeger-LeCoultre was born from the partnership between Edmond Jaeger and Jacques David LeCoultre. It wasn’t until 1937 that the names Jaeger and LeCoultre appeared together for the very first time on the same dial.
Their collaboration would give rise to prestigious models such as Reverso, Atmos, Duoplan and, shall we not forget, the Memovox.
In fact, since the founding of Jaeger-LeCoultre, the manufacture has produced over 1,200 different calibres, filed around 400 patents, and presented hundreds of creations.
The model we propose here is characterized by its simplicity. A steel three-hand model with beautiful proportions and equipped with the P 478 / c manufacture movement. The particularity of this watch lies in its desirable cream”3-6-9-12″ dial. This type of configuration is often described by collectors as “explorer dial,” referring to the dial of the famous crown brand model.
